Lizards adjust themselves to the ever changing environment. Even when their tails are cut off, they survive. That’s why they have become the symbol of ‘eternal life’. The Klein Gartmanplantsoen is located next to the Leidseplein, the square that never sleeps. During the day the mini-park is a paradise; by night it’s a dark hole in the mist of alcohol and drugs where only lizards can survive - an urban delirium.
